Free Webinar on October 17th to Focus on Careers in Wildlife Conservation, Natural Resource Management and Environmental Education

On October 17th, the National Environmental Education Foundation in collaboration with the American School Counselors Association and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services is hosting a webinar to inform school counselors and educators about careers in the fields of wildlife conservation, natural resource management and environmental education.

The webinar will feature key leaders from government agencies and experts in the field. A resource toolkit will be offered in conjunction with the webinar, further equipping counselors to share wildlife conservation opportunities with their students.  Registration is free and educators nationwide are invited to attend this webinar.

Presenters at this webinar will be

Akiima Price, Principal, Akiima Price Consulting will give an overview of the current landscape of the career opportunities in Wildlife Conservation, Natural Resource Management and Environmental Education. In addition, she will share strategies for building pathways to environmental careers for minority high school students.

Dawn Lagrotteria, Chief, Professional Development Branch, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will provide information on the career and internship opportunities within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. She will also share information about the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) new Pathways Program for students.
