The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), a nonprofit that builds the foundation for rapid adoption of clean energy and energy efficiency, is currently accepting applications from college students and recent graduates for their Spring 2025 internship program.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university or have graduated from one within the last year
- Applicants must have been enrolled in an undergraduate program for at least one calendar year
- Applicants must live and have authorization to work in the U.S.
Program Summary
This internship program will take place from February – April 2025, and interns are expected to commit to working an average 15-20 hours a week in a fully remote environment. During the program, interns will have an opportunity to produce a research or writing product that will be supported by their mentor at IREC. Interns will be paid $20/hr for their participation and college credit may also be available.
Four internships are available across IREC’s departments: Workforce Development, Local Initiatives, Regulatory, and Communications.
