Applications are currently being accepted for the Claire M. Hubbard Young Leaders in Conservation Fellowship Program. This is a one-year program intended for recent graduates of undergraduate or graduate programs in conservation-related fields. The Fellow is a full-time employee of The Nature Conservancy.
Most of the Fellow’s time will be spent at The Nature Conservancy’s Platte River Prairies, in a rural part of central Nebraska at Wood River, Nebraska, and runs from February 3, 2025 through January 30, 2026. The Fellow will also have an opportunity to spend time in other locations, including TNC’s Omaha Field Office.
The Fellow will have an opportunity to participate in a wide range of work areas including land management & restoration, outreach & education, and science & research.
Compensation and benefits include:
- Housing on TNC’s Platte River Prairies preserve and work vehicle
- Health insurance and 401(k)
- 2 weeks vacation and paid federal holidays
- $27,300 based on an hourly rate of $15/hr
