CARE International’s Poverty, Environment and Climate Change Network (PECCN) is a CARE-led ‘centre of expertise’ with a secretariat and global membership. It consists of hundreds of professionals from CARE and partner organizations committed to addressing the challenges of environmental change from the perspective of the world's poorest and most vulnerable people. PECCN is especially committed to reducing the negative impacts of climate change by transforming policies, institutions and practices that currently obstruct poor people's ability to adapt. We are seeking to recruit an Adaptation Coordinator who is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of CARE International’s adaptation sub-strategy, as well as supporting development and implementation of our overarching climate change strategy.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Leadership and coordination of CARE International’s adaptation sub-strategy
  • Strategic programme development
  • Oversight of learning and capacity building activities
  • Resource mobilisation
  • External relations and partnerships

This is a senior position requiring substantial vision, leadership and initiative.
