E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs) recently released Clean Jobs America 2025, their 10th annual report on U.S. clean energy employment. This edition was produced in collaboration with BW Research.
Using the same core data behind the U.S. Department of Energy’s U.S. Energy & Employment Report (USEER), this report found 3.56 million clean energy jobs at the end of 2024.
This represented annual growth of 100,000 jobs (2.8%) and a total increase of 520,000 jobs since 2020. E2 cites this growth arising from factors including the increased demand for electric vehicles, the deployment of battery storage and smart grid technologies, and energy efficiency upgrades.
