National Clean Energy Summit 2.0: Jobs and the New Economy is an event that will take place on August 10. This day-long event will bring together high-level industry leaders, scientists, policy experts, and public officials, along with citizens and the media, to help define a policy agenda to drive adoption of clean energy and energy efficiency in the U.S. The event agenda is listed below.
This program is intended to build on two previous events: National Clean Energy Project: Building the New Economy (Washington, DC – February 2009) and the initial National Clean Energy Summit (Las Vegas, NV – August 2008).
National Clean Energy Summit 2.0 will take place at Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is hosted by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
