Build It Green is a professional non-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy- and resource-efficient buildings in California. Supported by a solid foundation of outreach and education, Build It Green connects consumers and building professionals with the tools and technical expertise they need to build quality green buildings. Build It Green fosters collaboration with key stakeholder groups to accelerate the adoption of green building practices, policies, and programs.

The GreenPoint Rated program provides an objective, third-party verification system that helps consumers find green homes, understand green benefits, and recognize green features. Conservation of natural resources, increased energy efficiency and improved indoor air quality are just a few of the benchmarks a home must meet.

This position requires a flexible schedule, as some responsibilities involve evening and weekend activities. The ideal candidate will possess three distinct skill sets: (1) experience related to green building and energy efficiency; (2) hands-on experience with residential construction practices; and (3) communication and planning skills.

Project Managers are key staff members, responsible for the success of the program, under the supervision of the Program Manager. They oversee Associate-level staff and act in the role of the Program Manager in his/her absence. The nature of the program requires individuals with exceptional leadership qualities including strategic thinking, well-rounded communication skills, flexibility and adaptability, initiative, enthusiasm, commitment to a team, positive contribution, and technical expertise.
