Metro is the regional government that protects open space and parks, plans for land use and transportation, and manages garbage disposal and recycling for 1.4 million residents in three counties and 25 cities in the Portland, Oregon, region.

The Communications Coordinator will initiate, develop and coordinate programs that successfully communicate the accomplishments of Metro's Natural Areas, Parks and Streams bond measure program to the public. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically and provide coordination between individual program areas and other agency goals and objectives; write clearly and concisely, and use the written language to both convey information and create interest in the reader; and utilize a full suite of technical skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; digital production procedures, including scanners, color printers and digital cameras; and web site content management systems, HTML and web publishing software systems.
