2010 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference to Take Place in Washington, DC from May 4 – 6

Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference

The 2010 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference will take place from May 4 – 6 in Washington, DC.  This event will bring together key stakeholders – including union, environmental, business, and elected leaders – to share ideas and strategies for building the green economy.

The 2010 conference builds on successful events held in 2008 and 2009.  The 2008 Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conference took place in Pittsburgh and was attended by nearly 1,000 people. The 2009 conference attracted about 3,000 people and featured U.S. EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson, then-Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, and Senators Amy Klobuchar, Debbie Stabenow, and Sherrod Brown.

The 2010 conference will feature three days of keynotes, plenary sessions, and workshops as well as special features including a Green Innovation Expo, which will showcase companies and organizations that are a part of the movement to grow the green economy and develop clean energy jobs.  For those seeking green jobs the conference will also feature a Green Career Center, in which Green Jobs Network will be participating.
