Founder of Green Jobs Network Presents at UC Berkeley Green Career Symposium

Leonard Adler, Founder of Green Jobs Network (publisher of this blog), presented a "Tips for Your Green Job Search" workshop at the recent UC Berkeley Green Career Fair and Symposium.  This event took place on the UC Berkeley campus on February 21 and was sponsored by The College of Natural Resources & Peer Advisors, Green Jobs Network, UCB Plant and Microbial Biology Association, Bay Area Environmentally Aware Consulting Network (BEACN), Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative (BERC), and the Environmental Science Student Association (ESSA). 

In addition to Mr. Adler's presentation, this program included a workshop by Jim Cassio (author of Green Careers: Choosing Work for a Sustainable Future), a "Green Careers Success" panel, and a job fair.

On October 13 an event entitled Women in Renewable Energy Career Panel: Blazing the Way to the Top will take place in San Francisco. This event is presented by the Women's Environmental Network and the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of Women of Wind Energy.

This program will feature the female industry leaders in the cleantech and sustainability sectors, who will share insights from their professional and personal development. Panelists will address topics such as overcoming challenges on their paths to professional success and how they have juggled busy schedules while maintaining a work-family life balance.  The panelists for this event are:

Home Energy Retrofit Occupations (HERO) Program Offers Free Course on “Effective Green Business Marketing” at Skyline College

The Home Energy Retrofit Occupations (HERO) Program announces its next free training offering: Effective Green Business Marketing at Skyline College, June 21 – August 4 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4pm to 7:15pm). The inaugural Green Jobs and Entpreneurship Fair took place on February 16 at the David Brower Center.  This event was produced by Green Jobs Network (publisher of this blog) and sponsored by Redfish Technology and the Business & Entpreneurship Center at Cabrillo College.  The event featured panel sessions, free services to job seekers and entrepreneurs, and a Resource Fair featuring more than 30 organizations.  Look for video highlights from the panel sessions soon!
