Spend your summer working and camping outside at some of Nevada’s premier natural areas. Serve alongside international volunteers and college students from across the country while making a lasting contribution to Nevada’s natural heritage. Gain valuable field experience while working on habitat improvement, restoration, and recreation projects with the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, and local and state agencies. Projects include trail building and maintenance, tree thinning with chain saws, and riparian restoration.

National Clean Energy Summit 2.0

National Clean Energy Summit 2.0: Jobs and the New Economy is an event that will take place on August 10.  This day-long event will bring together high-level industry leaders, scientists, policy experts, and public officials, along with citizens and the media, to help define a policy agenda to drive adoption of clean energy and energy efficiency in the U.S.  The event agenda is listed below.

This program is intended to build on two previous events: National Clean Energy Project: Building the New Economy (Washington, DC – February 2009) and the initial National Clean Energy Summit (Las Vegas, NV – August 2008).

National Clean Energy Summit 2.0 will take place at Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is hosted by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Additional information, including registration, is available at http://cleanenergysummit.org/
