We are currently seeking to hire an Operations Manager for our San Francisco headquarters. Some of the projects that you will be responsible for are:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 40-person (and growing) home performance company.
  • Directing the organization’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Developing processes and improving internal systems so jobs are completed on time, within budget and to our clients’ satisfaction.
  • Reviewing financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost changes and program development.
  • Coaching leadership staff throughout the organization & visiting job sites on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Working with the local Business Development and Marketing teams to increase jobs sold.
  • Attending specialized trainings so you understand how the work we do impacts our clients and the environment.
  • Working with our software division to assure the operations team receives accurate field and parts-pull data.

City of Raleigh Offers Free Green Building Training

The City of Raleigh Office of Sustainability has developed a Green Building Training Program through a grant from the Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) and the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.  Through its Green Building Training Program, the Office of Sustainability is offering classes and certifications for a $25.00 refundable fee per class to construction professionals.

The next class offered will be LEED AP - Building Design & Construction (2 day class: July 20-21).  Registration is currently opened and will close on July 9th. Registration for this class and information on other course offerings is available here.

Deadline to Register for Current LEED AP Exam is March 31

A brief item — March 31st is the final date to register for the current LEED for New Construction (NC) v2.2 and LEED for Commercial Interiors (CI) v 2.0 LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credentialing exams. 

These tests are going to be retired and replaced with new exams as part of a new LEED credentialing system. Candidates who register by the March 31st deadline have until June 30, 2009 to take their exam.

The Green Building Certification Institute manages the LEED Professional Accreditation program.  For more information on registering for the current exam as well as information on the new credentialing system:
