The CED is an on-going dialogue between California business leaders, environmentalists, and government officials who are looking to improve the quality of life for all Californians. Using dialogue to develop innovative policy solutions, the CED's mission is to meet the needs of a healthy environment and a sound economy while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our environmental regulatory system. CED Members are committed to our collaborative process of on going dialogue, and contribute their time, expertise, and resources. The CED is a project of the California Council for Environmental and Economic Balance (CCEEB), a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. Sustainable Conservation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, serves as the fiduciary agent for the CED's private foundation and/or public agency grants.
PROJECT MANAGER POSITION
The Project Manager is responsible for managing all critical functions of the CED, and providing staff support to CCEEB (up to 20% of time allocation). The Project Manager reports to the CCEEB President/CED Senior Advisor and CCEEB Vice-President regarding the administration of the CED and executes the directives of the CED Members. We are seeking a multi-year commitment for this full-time position.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Facilitation and agenda development for collaborative multi-sector stakeholder dialogue sessions on statewide environmental issues;
* Development and publication of consensus-based policy recommendations;
* Regulatory/legislative research and analysis;
* Membership development;
* Capital budgeting;
* Foundation grant seeking and reporting;
* Membership outreach and communications;
* Event/logistical planning;
* Website and database content management; and,
* Word processing.
