Southface Energy Institute, a nonprofit environmental organization that promotes sustainable homes, workplaces and communities through education, research, advocacy and technical assistance, seeks applications for a Weatherization Training Associate. Weatherization Program
The Georgia Weatherization Assistance Program’s mission is to reduce state and national consumption of energy while providing a safe, improved environment and enhanced quality of life for Georgia’s income eligible households.

Responsibilities:
The Weatherization Training Associate will perform a variety of functions within the Weatherization Training Program at Southface, and will be responsible for developing and delivering best in class building science and weatherization training programs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and delivering (online and in person) adult training curricula for Southface’s Weatherization Training Program, energy codes, and other green building and design topics
  • Providing technical assistance to Weatherization Service Providers in Georgia in the field and over the phone
  • Accompanying Weatherization Service Providers on field visits/assessments throughout Georgia
  • Assisting with various tasks supporting the Residential Green Building Services Team
