2018 All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair is February 9

The 2018 All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair will be taking place on February 9, 2018 at the Columbia University in New York City.

This event is a collaboration of the eight Ivy League schools (Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, Yale University) and is intended to provide an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree students to discuss internships and full-time career opportunities with employers in areas such as:

  • Agricultural management, science, and engineering
  • City, regional, and environmental planning and design
  • Civil, mechanical, and chemical engineering
  • Corporate social responsibility
  • Earth and atmospheric sciences
  • Ecology, ecosystems, and biodiversity

Cleantech Week to Feature Cleantech Job Fair on February 10 in San Francisco (free event)

The Cleantech Open will be hosting a job fair on Friday, February 10, 2017. This event is part of Cleantech Week, a weeklong program which will spotlight global cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship at over 10 events during five days in San Francisco.

The Cleantech job fair will be at the PG&E Energy Center (851 Howard Street) and is free for job seekers, but advance registration is required. The fair will include career-related workshops and events throughout the day. The list of participating employers is available here

Green Job of the Day: Coordinator/RDN, Partnership for a Healthier America (DC)

The Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) is a non-partisan nonprofit that is devoted to working with the private sector to make the healthy choice the easy choice for busy parents and families. First Lady Michelle Obama serves as PHA's Honorary Chair and former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Senator Cory Booker serve as Honorary Vice Chairs.

Position Description:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships within the Partner Relations team, this position will provide food and nutrition expertise internally and externally. Specifically, the position will:

  • Shepard partners through the verification process, which informs PHA’s annual Progress Report, including fielding questions, reviewing partner data before submission to third party verifiers, etc.
  • Conduct food and nutrition product assessment and background research for the development of PHA partnerships.
  • Conduct recipe analysis and reviews for use in external PHA communications channels.
  • Manage the development and distribution of partner communications materials such as initiative newsletters.
  • Manage PHA’s general email inboxes.
  • Work closely with other PHA departments in the execution of these essential functions including New Business, Development and Marketing and Communications Departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a food and nutrition or related field and be Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) eligible.
  • At least two years of experience, and relevant school work can replace work experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and deliver quality work on time under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Passion for PHA’s mission of solving the childhood obesity crisis in a generation.
